# Create Standby Link

`POST /api/atlas/v2/groups/{groupId}/standbyLinks`

Creates a disaster recovery standby link between an active cluster and a standby cluster. Both clusters must not already be part of a standby link system, must be single-region clusters, and must be in different regions.

## Path parameters

- `groupId` string, required

## Query parameters

- `envelope` boolean

## Response `201`

Standby link created successfully.

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request.
- `401` — Unauthorized.
- `403` — Forbidden.
- `404` — Not Found.
- `500` — Internal Server Error.
