# Refund a transaction

`POST /api/v1.4/payments/transactions/{trx_uuid}/refund/`

  - API key in header `X-Api-Key`
  - API key in query parameter `access_token`

## Path parameters

- `trx_uuid` string, required

## Request body

- RefundProcess
  - `amount` string, decimal, required: The amount to refund, if performing a partial refund, the amount should be less than the original transaction amount
  - `refund_to_wallet` boolean: If set to true, the amount will be refunded to the customer's wallet
  - `customer` string: The ID of a specific customer you wish to associate this refund with. Required if `refund_to_wallet` is true
  - `custom_fields` unknown
