# Navigate the tissue/histology hierarchy

`GET /tissues/{req}`

Navigate the COSMIC tissue classification hierarchy level by level. Start with 'all' to get primary sites, then drill down to sub-tissues, histologies, and sub-histologies by passing parent values as query parameters.

## Query parameters

- `psite` string
- `psubsite` string
- `phistology` string

## Response `200`

Array of values at the requested hierarchy level.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request type.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. You are sending too many requests. Limits: 5 requests/second, 120 requests/minute, 300 requests/10 minutes. Exceeding the 10-minute threshold blocks your IP for the remainder of that window.
