# Predict MHC-I binding affinity

Submit a peptide sequence and HLA allele for MHC class I binding affinity prediction using IEDB NetMHCpan. Predictions run asynchronously in the background. The first call returns {"status": "pending"}; poll the same URL until the response returns {"status": "done"} with the binding results. Results are cached so subsequent requests for the same peptide/allele pair return immediately.

## Response `200`

Binding prediction result, pending status, or cache miss.

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing required peptide or allele parameter.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. You are sending too many requests. Limits: 5 requests/second, 120 requests/minute, 300 requests/10 minutes. Exceeding the 10-minute threshold blocks your IP for the remainder of that window.
