# Get mutation by accession ID

`GET /mutation/{canelib_id}`

Retrieve complete annotation for a single mutation by its CAN-IMMUNE accession ID. Returns gene symbol, amino acid change, CDS change, source database, 25-mer mutant and wild-type peptide sequences, sample information, primary site, histology, cancer type, and external database cross-references. Both CI-<number> and legacy CANLIB<number> prefixes are accepted.

## Response `200`

Mutation details including gene, peptide sequences, sample, and source metadata.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid or missing accession ID.
- `404`: Mutation not found.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. You are sending too many requests. Limits: 5 requests/second, 120 requests/minute, 300 requests/10 minutes. Exceeding the 10-minute threshold blocks your IP for the remainder of that window.
