# Get all mutations for a gene across cell lines

`GET /cell-lines/gene-id/{gene}`

Retrieve every mutation for a given gene across all cell lines in the database. Useful for surveying the mutational landscape of a gene of interest. Returns paginated mutation details, peptide sequences, and the cell line each mutation was observed in.

## Path parameters

- `gene` string, required

## Query parameters

- `page` integer
- `per_page` integer

## Response `200`

Paginated list of mutations for the specified gene across all cell lines.

## Other responses

- `404`: Gene symbol not found in the database.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. You are sending too many requests. Limits: 5 requests/second, 120 requests/minute, 300 requests/10 minutes. Exceeding the 10-minute threshold blocks your IP for the remainder of that window.
