# Get Messages

`POST /v1/messages/list`

## Request

Returns conversation history of email and LinkedIn messages for a contact or account, merged into one recency-ordered feed.

Each row carries a conversation_id and channel. Pass both to get_conversation for the full thread.

## Request body

- MessagesListRequest
  - `contact_id` string, uuid, nullable: Scope to a single contact's message history
  - `account_id` string, uuid, nullable: Scope to a single account's message history
  - `cursor` string, nullable: Opaque token from a previous response's next_cursor; omit for the first page
  - `channels` ChannelType[], nullable: Channels to include; omit or null returns all channels
  - `page_size` integer

    - `conversation_id` string, required: Thread/chat identifier; pass to get_conversation with channel
    - `channel` 'email' | 'linkedin', required
    - `direction` 'inbound' | 'outbound' | 'internal' | 'unknown', required
    - `subject` string, nullable: Subject line of the conversation
    - `preview` string, required: Short preview of the most recent message
    - `timestamp` string, date-time, required: When the most recent message was sent (ISO 8601)
    - `contact_id` string, nullable: ID of the associated contact
    - `account_id` string, nullable: ID of the associated account
  - `next_cursor` string, nullable: Pass back as `cursor` to fetch the next page; null when done
  - `has_more` boolean, required
  - `meta` ResponseMeta
    - `timestamp` string, date-time: Server timestamp of the response
