# Create a delayed route

`POST /v2/payments/{paymentId}/routes`

Create a route for a specific payment.
The routed amount is credited to the account of your customer.

## Headers

- `idempotency-key` string

## Request body

- RouteCreateRequest — Payload to create a new delayed route for a payment.
  - `amount` Amount, required — In v2 endpoints, monetary amounts are represented as objects with a `currency` and `value` field.
    - `currency` string, required — A three-character ISO 4217 currency code.
    - `value` string, required — A string containing an exact monetary amount in the given currency.
  - `destination` object, required — The destination of the route.
    - `type` 'organization', required — The type of destination. Currently only the destination type `organization` is supported.
    - `organizationId` string, required
  - `description` string — Description shown in reports.

## Response `201`

The route object.

## Other responses

- `404` — No entity with this ID exists.
- `429` — Rate Limit has been reached.
