# Get an agent run

`GET /agents/ask/{runUuid}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.modjo.ai/v2`
- URL: `https://api.modjo.ai/v2/agents/ask/{runUuid}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns a background run started by `POST /agents/ask`: its status while it runs, then its output once `completed` or its error once `failed`. Runs are kept 7 days.

- `runUuid` string, uuid, required: Run UUID, returned by `POST /agents/ask` in background mode

## Response `200`

Agent run

- AgentRun
  - `uuid` string, uuid, required: Run UUID, to read the run with `GET /agents/ask/{runUuid}`.
  - `status` 'queued' | 'processing' | 'completed' | 'failed', required: `queued` until a worker picks the run, `processing` while the AI answers (retries included), then `completed` or `failed`.
  - `scope` union, required: The entity the question is asked on. A call must be fully processed (status `completed`).

  - `createdOn` string, date-time, required: When the run was created.
  - `finishedOn` string, date-time, nullable, required: When the run reached `completed` or `failed`, `null` before.
  - `expiresOn` string, date-time, required: The run is deleted after this date, 7 days after its creation.

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication failed. The API key is missing or invalid.
- `403`: Background runs are a private feature and are not enabled for this workspace
- `404`: Run not found, or expired
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. Retry after the X-RateLimit-Reset interval.
