# Delete a workbench

`DELETE /v1/workbenches/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:9998`
- URL: `http://localhost:9998/v1/workbenches/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Deletes the workbench and its Asset. Leaf-only: an Asset derived from the workbench
refuses the delete with `has_descendants`. Mirrors `workbench_delete`.

The deleted workbench's id

  - `deleted` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `404`: No workbench with that id
- `409`: `revision_conflict`, or `has_descendants`: Assets were made from it.
- `503`: The Asset store is not ready
