# Read which chat a spoken turn lands in

`GET /v1/voice-chat/chat`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:9998`
- URL: `http://localhost:9998/v1/voice-chat/chat`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

The chat the person's next spoken turn lands in: the chat a viewer reports on screen,
else the chat they picked in ToolPiper's chat pane, else the most recently active chat of
the most recently active project. `listening` is true while voice captures speech for it.
Only ToolPiper's own app (this Mac's local token) may read it.

## Response `200`

Where voice listens

- VoiceChatState
  - `conversationId` string: The chat voice listens to. Absent before there is one.
  - `projectId` string: That chat's project.
  - `listening` boolean, required: Voice is capturing speech for that chat now.

## Other responses

- `403`: The caller is not ToolPiper's own app
