# Retired ambient bootstrap

Retired. ToolPiper hands its ambient token to no caller over HTTP:
the bundled Angular app receives it in the page ToolPiper serves,
native programs read the token file, and the MediaPiper extension
connects through OAuth (`/oauth/authorize`). Every loopback caller
gets `410` with error type `session_token_retired` and the message
"Update MediaPiper and connect it to ToolPiper.", so an older
MediaPiper meets a refusal that names the fix. Unauthenticated.
