# Publish Website

`POST /websites/{website_id}/publish`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.moda.app/v1`
- URL: `https://api.moda.app/v1/websites/{website_id}/publish`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Publish (or republish) the site to its public URL.

``review_status: "pending_review"`` means the publish succeeded but the
site is held for review before it serves.

- `website_id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- WebsitePublishRequest
  - `slug_prefix` string, nullable: Optional subdomain hint applied on the FIRST publish only (the final slug appends a random suffix). Ignored on republish — the site keeps its slug.

- `401`: Authentication required.
- `402`: Insufficient credits for a metered operation.
- `403`: Permission denied for this scope.
- `404`: Resource not found.
- `409`: Conflict (idempotency / resource state).
- `422`: Request validation failed.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `500`: Internal error.
