# Voyager Redeem Promo

`POST /voyager/promo/redeem`

## Request

Redeem a promo or referral code for the organization of this credential's workspace.

The same redemption and eligibility as entering the code in the Moda web app, for a
Voyager sign-in or a legacy Voyager API key: the billing promo path first, then the
referral path when the code is not a promo code. At most 10 attempts per user per
10 minutes.

## Request body

- VoyagerPromoRedeemRequest
  - `code` string, required: The promo code as the user typed it; surrounding whitespace is ignored.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- VoyagerPromoRedeemResponse: ``{"success", "message"}``, plus what a promo code granted; the three are null for a referral code, whose reward the referral program sets.
  - `success` boolean, required: Whether the promo code was successfully applied
  - `message` string, required: Human-readable message about the result
  - `credits_granted` integer, nullable: Credits this redemption granted.
  - `pro_trial_days` integer, nullable: Length in days of the Pro plan or trial this redemption started, if any.
  - `monthly_credits` integer, nullable: The plan's recurring per-seat credit allowance, when the promo put the workspace on a plan.

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication required.
- `402`: Insufficient credits for a metered operation.
- `403`: Permission denied for this scope.
- `404`: Resource not found.
- `409`: Conflict (idempotency / resource state).
- `422`: Request validation failed.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `500`: Internal error.
