# Remove Background

`POST /media/remove-background`

Remove the background from one image; result is a new transparent PNG (metered provider call).

- RemoveBackgroundRequest
  - `image` string, required: file_ id or http(s) URL.
  - `high_quality` boolean
  - `idempotency_key` string, nullable: A retried call with the same key replays the stored response (replayed:true) instead of paying for a second provider render.
