# List Items

`GET /drive/items`

## Request

List one location's files, canvases and websites — the app file browser's folder view.

The browser's own query (``FolderService.get_folder_contents`` /
``get_root_contents``): the same visibility rules (another user's private
item or folder is invisible; cross-team and private folders are
indistinguishable 404s; hidden system subtrees are blocked), interleaved
newest-modified first with an id tiebreaker, offset-paginated with a true
``total`` across all three kinds. Each row's ``kind`` (``file`` | ``canvas``
| ``website``) says which endpoints its ``id`` addresses. Imported documents
are not listed. ``root`` is every unfiled item you can see.

## Query parameters

- `folder_id` string, required: The location to list: a folder id (``fld_...``), or the literal ``root`` for unfiled items.
- `limit` integer: Max items per page. Defaults to 50, caps at 200.
- `offset` integer: Items to skip — pass ``offset + limit`` to page through.

- `403`: Permission denied for this scope.

- `500`: Internal error.
