# Import Canvas Pages

`POST /canvases/{canvas_ref}/import-pages`

## Request

Import pages from another canvas (team-accessible source or a valid share token).

Source authorization mirrors the internal import tool exactly: the source
must be in a team the caller belongs to OR carry an active public share;
self-import is refused; an inaccessible source is a 404/403 before any
dispatch. Imported pages are cloned with fresh ids and appended after the
destination's last page; ``created_ids`` carries the new page ids.

- CanvasImportPagesRequest
  - `source` string, required: Source canvas: a CANVAS_REF (cvs_ wire id or bare UUID) or a share token.
  - `page_ids` string[], nullable: Source page ids to import (real ids, or short p-refs from a prior source-state read). Omit to import every page (an explicit empty list is rejected, never widened to all pages).
  - `expected_revision` string, nullable: Optional (advisory) — imports append pages.
  - `idempotency_key` string, nullable

- `403`: Permission denied for this scope.
- `404`: Resource not found.
- `409`: Conflict (idempotency / resource state).
