# Get one tool from the tool catalog

`GET /api/v1/data/tools/{name}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://moda.dev`
- URL: `https://moda.dev/api/v1/data/tools/{name}`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Returns one tool's call stats, registered definition (description and schema) and observed payload fields, usage over time, effect profile, top failure categories with their newest failure, and recent calls. 404 when the tool has no calls in the window.

## Path parameters

- `name` string, required

## Query parameters

- `days_back` integer

## Response `200`

Successful response.

- object: stats, definition, tool_classes, effect_profile, usage, failure_categories, and recent_calls.

## Other responses

- `401`: The x-api-key header is missing, invalid, or revoked.
- `404`: The requested resource was not found.
