# retrieve the current preemption status

`GET /mockserver/preemption`

Returns the current cordon/drain status: state (inactive / draining / drained), the number of in-flight requests, the remaining drain window in milliseconds and the active signalling mode.

## Response `200`

preemption status returned

- PreemptionStatus: current cordon/drain status of the server
  - `state` 'inactive' | 'draining' | 'drained'
  - `inFlight` integer: number of requests currently in flight
  - `drainRemainingMillis` integer: milliseconds left in the drain window
  - `mode` 'reject503' | 'goaway' | 'both': active signalling mode (omitted when inactive)
