# Self-serve restore a tombstoned organization (owner or admin, within 30 days of tombstoning)

`POST /orgs/{org_id}/restore`

## Request

MNE-2503: within 30 days of `tombstoned_at`, the org's own owner or admin can restore it themselves — no mnemom-admin required. Refused (403) past the 30-day window (only the mnemom-admin-only restore path remains after that). Also clears a pending `scheduled_tombstone_at` on an org that was never actually tombstoned (no separate cancel-schedule endpoint). If the org has a paused billing subscription, `confirm_billing_resume` must be `true` in the request body or the whole restore is refused (400) — never partially applied. Gated behind the `ORG_SELF_SERVE_RESTORE_ENABLED` flag; 404s (as if the route doesn't exist) when that flag is off.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Authentication required
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Resource not found
- `429`: Rate-limit exceeded. The global per-IP limiter (100 requests/minute, applied to every `/v1/*` route) rejected this request. Back off until the window resets — `Retry-After` carries the cooldown in seconds and `X-RateLimit-Reset` the absolute reset time.
- `500`: Server error — request was well-formed but the server failed to fulfill it. Typically a downstream dependency (DB / RPC / external API) returned an unexpected error.
