# Job Tags

An ontology that classifies job positions by job function, employment type, seniority, industry, academic qualification, payscale, and country.

Job tags classify employee roles. Use the returned id values in employee-metrics job_tags or the employee trend URL job_tag_id. These IDs are separate from segment feature IDs.

Rows are ordered by ID. parent_id links a child to its parent tag.

Successful response.

    - `id` integer, nullable: Unique identifier for this tag.
    - `label` string, nullable: Descriptive label for this tag.
    - `parent_id` integer, nullable: Unique identifier for this tag's parent tag.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid tag IDs.
- `403`: Invalid key or insufficient endpoint permissions.
- `404`: No matching rows.
- `408`: The database query timed out.
- `429`: Concurrent request limit exceeded.
- `500`: Internal API error.
