# Delete Taxonomy

`DELETE /v1/taxonomies/{taxonomy_identifier}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mixpeek.com`
- URL: `https://api.mixpeek.com/v1/taxonomies/{taxonomy_identifier}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer and API key in header `X-Namespace`

This endpoint deletes a taxonomy and all its resources including:
    - Taxonomy versions (version snapshots)
    - Taxonomy metadata from MongoDB

    The deletion is performed synchronously and returns when complete.

## Path parameters

- `taxonomy_identifier` string, required: Taxonomy ID or name
