# Update API key

`PATCH /v1/api-keys/{api_key_id}`

Update a specific API key by its ID.

Args:
    api_key_id: The ID of the API key to update.
    params: The parameters to update.

Returns:
    ApiKey: The updated API key details.

## Path parameters

- `api_key_id` string, uuid, required — The ID of the API key to update

## Request body

- ApiKeyUpdateParams — Parameters for updating an API key.
  - `name` string, nullable — A name/description for the API key
  - `expires_at` string, date-time, nullable — Optional expiration datetime

The updated API key details

- ApiKey — Response model for an API key.
  - `id` string, required — The ID of the API key
  - `name` string, required — The name of the API key
  - `redacted_value` string, required — The redacted value of the API key
  - `expires_at` string, date-time, nullable — The expiration datetime of the API key
