# Move

`POST /groups/{group_id}/move`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mirurobotics.com/beta`
- URL: `https://api.mirurobotics.com/beta/groups/{group_id}/move`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Move a group to a new parent, or to the top level by setting parent_id to null.

## Path parameters

- `group_id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `expand` GroupExpansion[]

## Request body

- MoveGroupRequest
  - `parent_id` string, nullable, required: ID of the new parent group. Set to null to make this a top-level group.

## Response `200`

Successfully moved the group.

- Group
  - `object` 'group', required: The object type, which is always `group`.
  - `id` string, required: ID of the group.
  - `name` string, required: Name of the group.
  - `parent_id` string, nullable, required: ID of the parent group. Null for top-level groups.
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required: Timestamp of when the group was created.
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required: Timestamp of when the group was last updated.
  - `parent` Group (recursive)
