# Generate Direct Send

`POST /api/v1/direct-sends/{direct_send_id}/generate`

Write one draft per recipient. They land in review; nothing is sent here.

The audience is re-resolved at generation time rather than reusing the count
from creation: somebody may have unsubscribed in between, and the opt-out has
to win.

## Path parameters

- `direct_send_id` string, uuid, required
