# Create report

`POST /api/v1/report`

## Request

- The document declares no server URL.
- Auth: none declared

Creates a new pre-sentence report. Only requires the CRN (Case Reference Number). The report type defaults to 'short-format' and an event number is auto-generated.

## Request body

- CreateReport (unresolved $ref)

## Response `201`

Report created successfully. Returns the report ID.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request. CRN is required.
- `401`: Authorization error. Bearer token required.
