# Get all letters for a user

`GET /letters/{userId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `/` (relative, and the document was published on a file host, not at the API’s origin)
- URL: `/letters/{userId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns all letters belonging to the specified user across all cases.

## Response `200`

List of letters for the user.

- LetterResource[]
  - `userId` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier of the user who owns the letter.
  - `caseReferenceNumber` string, required: Reference number of the case to which the letter belongs.
  - `letterId` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier of the letter.
  - `letterType` string, required: Code that identifies which letter template was used.
  - `letterData` LetterData, required: Dynamic key-value pairs used to populate the letter template. Required fields will vary depending on letterType.

## Other responses

- `401`: Access token is missing or invalid
- `403`: The JWT doesn't permit access to this endpoint
- `404`: The specified resource was not found
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
