# Update Finding Severity

`PATCH /v1/findings/{finding_id}/severity`

## Request

Overrides a finding's severity and, optionally, its CVSS v3.1 score. Returns both the original and the overridden values.

## Path parameters

- `finding_id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

    - `severity` 'critical' | 'high' | 'medium' | 'low' | 'secured' | 'info' | 'null', nullable, required: `secured` is the public value. `info` is accepted only as a deprecated input alias. Null clears the override.
    - `severity_score` number, nullable: Optional CVSS v3.1 score override. Null clears the override.
