# Start Discovery Run

`POST /v1/discovery/runs`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mindfort.app`
- URL: `https://api.mindfort.app/v1/discovery/runs`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Starts an on-demand Discovery run that looks for candidate targets. Use the returned run_id with GET /v1/discovery to follow progress.

## Response `202`

Discovery run queued

- PublicDiscoveryRunResponse: Use run_id to identify the discovery run and GET /v1/discovery to follow its progress. Additional response fields may be present; clients should ignore fields they do not use.
  - `run_id` string, required
  - `status` 'queued', required
