# Stop the explicitly requested running sandboxes for one organization

`POST /admin/v1/orgs/{org_id}/sandboxes/stop`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.microsandbox.dev` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.microsandbox.dev/admin/v1/orgs/{org_id}/sandboxes/stop`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Every requested ID must belong to the organization and currently be marked
`running`; the endpoint never treats an omitted or empty list as "all".
Each selected row still goes through the normal stop path, which submits the
generation-fenced orchestrator stop and lets the reconciler close billing.

## Path parameters

- `org_id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- StopRunningRequest: Sandboxes to stop in an operator request.
  - `sandbox_ids` string[], required: Explicit sandbox IDs are required; an omitted list can never mean "all".

## Response `200`

Stop requests submitted

- StopRunningResponse: Result of an operator request to stop running sandboxes.
  - `accepted` integer, required
  - `failed` StopFailure[], required
    - `error` string, required
    - `sandbox_id` string, uuid, required
  - `org_id` string, uuid, required
  - `requested` integer, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Sandbox ID list is empty or too large
- `401`: Invalid operator credential
- `409`: A requested sandbox is not running or belongs to another organization
- `502`: Database or orchestrator unavailable
