# Rename the caller's own organization. Only a REGULAR_USER owner session may edit it.

`PUT /v2/settings/organizations`

## Request body

- UpdateOrganizationNameRequest: Request body to rename an organization.
  - `name` string, required: New display name for the organization.

## Response `200`

Organization renamed.

  - `data` OrganizationDto: An account's organization settings.
    - `id` integer: Id of the organization. Always present -- the row is created on first access if the owner never personalized it. Use it to address /v2/organizations/{organizationId} endpoints (e.g. team members).
    - `name` string, nullable: Display name of the organization: the personalized name if the owner set one, otherwise the owner's billing company. Null when there is neither: the front shows its own default.
    - `owner` OrganizationOwnerDto: The owner of an organization.
      - `name` string: First name and last name of the owner, or their email when they have no first name.
      - `profilePicture` string, nullable: URL of the owner's profile picture. Null when they have none, and the front shows their initials instead.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid (blank or too long) name.
- `403`: Caller is not a regular-user owner session, or its plan does not qualify for an organization.
