# List tracked instruments

`GET /v1/instruments/`

Every instrument the platform tracks, with the exchange and asset class it belongs to. Use this to discover the symbol a given endpoint expects: symbol spaces differ per route, so gold is XAU on /v1/history but GOLD on /v1/markets, and commodities are contract codes such as CL1. Filter with asset_class (commodity, crypto, equity, etf, fx, index, bond), exchange, or a case-insensitive search across symbol and name. Available on every plan including Free.
