# Prometheus metrics

`GET /metrics`

## Request

Prometheus text exposition format. When the server sets `METRICS_TOKEN`, requests must send `Authorization: Bearer <METRICS_TOKEN>` (401 otherwise); the endpoint is open only when `METRICS_TOKEN` is unset.

Metrics.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unknown `X-API-Key` (`INVALID_API_KEY`), or missing/invalid metrics bearer token on `/metrics`.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded (`RATE_LIMITED`).
- `500`: Metrics could not be generated (plain-text body).
- `503`: A dependency is unavailable or its data is stale (e.g. `SERVED_DB_UNAVAILABLE`, `SERVED_DATA_STALE`) or the request timed out (`REQUEST_TIMEOUT`). Retry later.
