# Create a client

`POST /v1/clients`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.merlonix.com`
- URL: `https://api.merlonix.com/v1/clients`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Create a client bucket to group assets. Requires a `write`-scoped key. The `slug` is derived from the name when omitted and must be unique per tenant (`409` on collision).

## Request body

- ClientCreate: Request body for creating a client bucket (TD-943).
  - `name` string, required
  - `slug` string: URL-safe slug; derived from name when omitted. Unique per tenant.
  - `logo_url` string, uri: https logo URL.
  - `brand_color` string: Hex color (e.g. #1a2b3c).

## Response `201`

The created client.

  - `is_unassigned` boolean, required: True for the catch-all Unassigned bucket.
