# Bulk update journal entries

`PUT /journal-entries/{booksId}`

## Request

## Path parameters

- `booksId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- TealUpdateJournalEntriesItem[]
  - `datetime` string, yyyy-mm-ddThh:MM:ssZ
  - `description` string, nullable: An arbitrary string on the object, useful for displaying to the user.
  - `id` string, base58 (max length 22), required: The unique ID of the object.
  - `line_entry_changes` TealUpdateJournalEntryChanges
    - `create` TealUpdateJournalEntryLECreate[], nullable: A list of new Line Entry objects to be created on the Journal Entry.
      - `amount` number, double, required: A dollar amount
      - `debit_credit` 'debit' | 'credit', required: Indicates if the amount is a credit or debit.
      - `description` string, required: An arbitrary string on the object, useful for displaying to the user or for categorization.
      - `ledger_id` string, base58 (max length 22), required: The ID of the Line Entry's Ledger.
      - `tag_ids` string[], nullable: A list of IDs of the Tag objects associated with the Line Entry.
    - `delete` string[], nullable: A list of existing Line Entry IDs to delete.
    - `update` TealUpdateJournalEntryLEUpdate[], nullable: A list of existing Line Entry objects to be updated on the Journal Entry.
      - `amount` number, double: A dollar amount
      - `debit_credit` 'debit' | 'credit', nullable: Indicates if the amount is a credit or debit.
      - `description` string, nullable: An arbitrary string on the object, useful for displaying to the user or for categorization.
      - `id` string, base58 (max length 22), required: The unique ID of the object.
      - `ledger_id` string, base58 (max length 22), nullable: The ID of the Line Entry's Ledger.
      - `tag_ids` string[], nullable: A list of IDs of the Tag objects associated with the Line Entry.
