# Remove a contact from a segment

`DELETE /contacts/{id}/segments/{segmentId}`

Removes a contact from a static segment.

## Path parameters

## Response `200`

Contact removed from the segment

- RemoveContactSegmentResponse

  - `audienceId` string, uuid, required
  - `deleted` true, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, malformed or invalid API key
- `404`: Not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded: 600 requests per minute per API key and 3,000 per team; wait for Retry-After
