# Retrieve Tax Form

`GET /tax-forms/{tax_form_id}`

## Request

Returns a time-limited download URL for the tax form. Use a `tax_form_id` from the search endpoint; the value is opaque, so do not construct it yourself.

  - `tax_form_id` string, required: Identifier of the tax form, echoing the one you requested.
  - `account_id` string, required: Account the form was issued for.
  - `tax_year` integer, required: The tax year the form covers.
  - `tax_form_type` 'Tax1099Int' | 'Tax1099Div' | 'Tax1099B' | 'Tax1099', required
  - `download_url` string, required: Time-limited URL to download the tax form PDF.
  - `expires_at` string, date-time, required: When the download URL expires.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request could not be processed.
- `401`: Authentication failed.
- `403`: The API key is not authorized for this operation, or the user of a global API key is an admin or controller without approved KYC. The KYC case returns the message `KYC is required for controllers and admins.` until that user completes KYC in the Meow dashboard.
- `429`: Too many requests.
