# Create Receipt Upload URLs

`POST /receipts/upload-urls`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.meow.com/v1`
- URL: `https://api.meow.com/v1/receipts/upload-urls`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Returns short-lived upload URLs for card receipts. Upload each receipt to its URL, then create the receipts.

## Request body

- ReceiptUploadUrlsRequest
  - `files` ReceiptFile[], required: Receipt files that need upload URLs.
    - `filename` string, required: Name of the receipt file you will upload.
    - `content_type` 'text/csv' | 'application/pdf' | 'image/jpeg' | 'image/png' | 'image/webp' | 'image/heic', required
    - `size` integer, required: Size of the receipt file in bytes.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- ReceiptUploadUrlsResponse
  - `uploads` ReceiptUpload[], required: Upload instructions for each receipt.
    - `url` string, required: Short-lived URL for uploading this receipt.
    - `fields` object, required: Form fields required with the upload.
    - `object_key` string, required: Opaque upload key to pass to Create Receipts.
    - `filename` string, required: Name of the receipt file.
    - `max_bytes` integer, required: Maximum accepted file size in bytes.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request could not be processed.
- `401`: Authentication failed.
- `403`: The API key is not authorized for this operation, or the user of a global API key is an admin or controller without approved KYC. The KYC case returns the message `KYC is required for controllers and admins.` until that user completes KYC in the Meow dashboard.
- `429`: Too many requests.
