# List chat messages

`GET /v3/chats/{chat_id}/messages`

## Request

Rows after the after_seq cursor, oldest first.

## Path parameters

- `chat_id` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `after_seq` integer: Return rows with seq greater than this
- `limit` integer

- AgentChatMessageListOut: Messages after a cursor, oldest first.

    - `role` string, nullable

    - `payload` object, nullable: Kind-specific fields (see libs.chat.contracts)
    - `turn_id` string, nullable: Id of the user message that started this row's turn
    - `seq` integer, required: Cursor for listing; rows are ordered by it
    - `created_at` string, date-time, required
    - `user_id` string, nullable
  - `has_more` boolean, required: True when more rows follow; fetch again with after_seq = the last seq
