# Call a number with this agent

`POST /v3/ai-agents/{agent_id}/test-call`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mentium.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.mentium.io/v3/ai-agents/{agent_id}/test-call`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Place a real outbound call to one number using this agent, from the number the agent is linked to. Intended for demos and manual checks; the call is a normal PhoneCall and appears on the Calls page like any other.

## Path parameters

- `agent_id` string, uuid, required

## Headers

- `mentium-workspace-id` string, nullable

## Request body

- AIAgentTestCallRequest: Dial a number with this agent, from the number the agent answers on.
  - `phone_number` string, required: Number to call, in E.164 format (for example +12025551234).

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- AIAgentTestCallResponse: What was dialled, and the call row to follow it on.
  - `phone_call_id` string, required: PhoneCall id, for the call detail page
  - `from_number` string, required: The agent's own number, which the call is placed from
  - `to_number` string, required: The number actually dialled. A workspace in test mode redirects every outbound call, so this can differ from the one requested.
  - `status` string, required: Call status at initiation
