# Post Load To Dat

`POST /v2/tms/loads/{external_reference_id}/post-to-dat`

Post a single load to the DAT Load Board.

Delegates to Vortex's LoadService.PostLoadToDAT gRPC — Vortex owns the load
data, DAT credentials, and the ``load_dat_posting`` audit row.

## Path parameters

- `external_reference_id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `integration_connection_id` string, required: TMS integration connection ID (used to fetch the load).

## Request body

- PostLoadToDATRequest: Request to post an internal load to the DAT Load Board.
  - `dat_integration_connection_id` string, required: DAT integration connection ID used to post.
  - `comments` string, nullable: Optional comment posted with the load (max 70 chars).
  - `is_tracking_required` boolean: Whether DAT tracking should be required.
  - `rate_usd` number, nullable: Rate to advertise on the board, in USD. The caller resolves it — the load view prefills the offer's configured minimum carrier rate. Required unless omit_rate is set.
  - `rate_source` 'MANUAL_OVERRIDE' | 'OFFER_MIN_RATE' | 'OFFER_MAX_RATE': Where the rate advertised on a load-board posting came from. A posting may legally carry no rate, in which case no source is recorded.
  - `contact_method` 'EMAIL' | 'PRIMARY_PHONE' | 'ALTERNATE_PHONE', nullable: DAT preferred contact method; defaults to email.
  - `contact_email` string, nullable: Contact email on the posting. Omit to let DAT use the posting account's own details.
  - `contact_phone` string, nullable: Contact phone on the posting.
  - `omit_rate` boolean: Post with no rate at all ('call for rate'), ignoring rate_usd and the load's carrier target.

Successful Response

- PostLoadToDATResponse: Response from posting a load to DAT.
  - `success` boolean, required
  - `posting_status` 'POSTED' | 'ALREADY_POSTED' | 'FAILED' | 'RETRYING', required: Outcome of an attempt to post a load to a load board. Board-agnostic: DAT is the first board wired up, but nothing here names it.
  - `load_external_reference_id` string, required
  - `dat_posting_id` string, nullable
  - `dat_response` object, nullable
  - `error` string, nullable
  - `message` string, required
  - `rate_usd` number, nullable: Rate advertised on the board; null means 'call for rate'.
  - `rate_source` 'MANUAL_OVERRIDE' | 'OFFER_MIN_RATE' | 'OFFER_MAX_RATE': Where the rate advertised on a load-board posting came from. A posting may legally carry no rate, in which case no source is recorded.
