# Get Prompt Variables

`GET /v2/phone-numbers/prompt-variables`

## Request

List available variables for phone call prompts.

Uses AuthenticateUser (no workspace required) — returns static variable
definitions, also needed by the admin catalog editor.

- PhonePromptVariablesResponse: Available variables for phone call prompts
  - `variables` PhonePromptVariable[], required
    - `key` string, required: Variable key to use in {{variable}} syntax
    - `description` string, required: What this variable represents
    - `category` 'dynamic' | 'system', required: Variable category
    - `direction` 'inbound' | 'outbound' | 'both', required: Which call direction supports this variable
