# Get Backups

`GET /api/v1/databases/{database_id}/backups`

List backups for a database instance.

The operator takes scheduled backups on the cluster by itself; the
worker mirrors them into this list. Opening the list asks for a fresh
mirror so a new scheduled backup shows up on the next refresh instead of
at the next periodic sweep.
