# Delete User

`DELETE /admin/users/{user_id}`

Delete a user account immediately (no grace period).

Same cleanup as the scheduled account deletion: credentials with their
secrets, the personal organization and its OpenBao namespaces, then the
user row. Refuses (409) while the account still owns clusters,
deployments, databases or secrets, or money is outstanding — those go
through their own delete flows first. Platform admins must be removed
from the Mengi organization before they can be deleted.
