# Get a group

`GET /groups/{groupId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://pmp-demo.privateplatform.mendix.com/groupservice/v2`
- URL: `https://pmp-demo.privateplatform.mendix.com/groupservice/v2/groups/{groupId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Get a single group by group Id

## Path parameters

- `groupId` string, required

## Response `200`

Group

- object
  - `id` string: Group Id
  - `name` string: Group name
  - `description` string: Group description
  - `memberCount` integer: Group member count
  - `parentGroup` string: Parent group name

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid input parameter or request body
- `401`: Authentication information is missing or invalid
- `403`: User has no permission for this operation
- `404`: Resource not found
