# Get categories for a company

`GET /companies/{company-id}/categories`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://categories-api.home.mendix.com/v1`
- URL: `https://categories-api.home.mendix.com/v1/companies/{company-id}/categories`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Returns the list of categories for the company.
The user PAT needs to have the scope `mx:app:categories:read`.

- `limit` integer
- `offset` integer

List of categories

      - `totalElements` integer: Total number of elements available
      - `offset` integer: Number of items skipped before starting to collect the result set
      - `elements` integer: Number of elements returned on this page
  - `items` Category[]
    - `categoryId` string: Unique identifier for the category
    - `name` string: Name of the category

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Not Found
- `500`: Internal Server Error
