# Get the authenticated identity

`GET /api/v1/me`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mencoro.com`
- URL: `https://api.mencoro.com/api/v1/me`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns the user the API key belongs to, plus the key's capabilities and scope. Use it to confirm which credential a call runs under.

## Response `200`

The authenticated identity

- MeResource: The authenticated user and the API key the request was made with
  - `userId` string, uuid, required
  - `fullName` string, required
  - `email` string, email, required
  - `language` string, required: IETF language tag the user reads the product in
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required
  - `apiKeyId` string, uuid, required: The API key this request authenticated with
  - `capabilities` string[], required
  - `scopeMode` 'selected' | 'all_organizations', required
  - `organizationIds` string[], required: Organizations the key names. Empty for a key scoped to all organizations, which instead follows the owner's membership.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `403`: The key lacks the read capability
