# Request an image you couldn't find

`POST /v1/requests`

## Request

Submit a meme/image request. Open to anonymous callers (rate-limited: 2/min burst, 5/day per IP; 20/day authenticated). Optional email gets a one-time notification when a matching image lands. Response includes the closest current matches.

## Response `200`

Duplicate open request existed. Body: { id, deduped: true, similar: [] }

## Other responses

- `201`: Request created. Body: { id, similar: ImageRecord[] }
- `400`: Validation error
- `404`: Feature disabled
- `429`: Rate limited
