# Report illegal content (DSA notice)

The public notice-and-action form (EU Digital Services Act Art. 16). No account needed. Rate limited 5/hour and 20/day per IP. Intimate images shared without consent and sexual deepfakes are refused with USE_TAKEDOWN_FORM: use POST /v1/takedowns/intimate, which takes the image down at once. Name and email are required except for category child_sexual_abuse. Every accepted notice answers the same 202 — whether or not the image exists — and, when an email was given, a receipt is emailed; a person reviews every notice. 404 while the feature is dark.

  - `explanation` string, required: Why the content is illegal.

  - `good_faith` true, required: You confirm the notice is accurate and made in good faith.
  - `legal_basis` string: The law you rely on (optional).

## Response `202`

Notice received (the same answer whether or not the image exists).

## Other responses

- `400`: A field is missing or invalid (the error names it), USE_TAKEDOWN_FORM, or an undeliverable email address.
- `404`: The notice form is not enabled.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
