# Report how long the import took on the client

`POST /api/v1/imports/people/{importId}/client-timing`

Optional, sent once the client lands on the result: the whole wait from "Import" pressed to the person on screen, and how long the app or tab was in the background meanwhile (iOS suspends polling there). Numbers only, joined to the import's timing record. Owner only; another user's import answers 404 like a missing one. Idempotent: sending it again overwrites with the same values.

  - `clientTotalMs` integer, required
  - `backgroundedMs` integer: Defaults to 0; capped at clientTotalMs.
